HAPPY HOMECOMING! With the collective efforts of the United Way of Brazoria County, David Linder County Commissioner Pct. 4, the Town of Holiday Lakes, and other community partners. Mrs. Marita Williamson a received a brand new two-bedroom, two-bathroom trailer home and was able to move back into her residence this past Thursday after over a two year long absence. Her original trailer that she called home for nearly five decades was damaged in the 2016 flood and became uninhabitable. As a result Mrs. Williamson was forced to move into a temporary travel trailer that was only 190 square feet. Equipped with only a small space heater, she was forced to go through a freezing winter without insulation in the walls or floor. To make matters worse the water heater went out during the freezing months only making life harder for the 87 year old senior citizen. The niece of Mrs. Williamson, Sarah Stelzer expressed "I can't begin to explain how grateful we are for all of you. [That's] one happy lady... Thank you from the bottom of our hearts."
