Welcome home to Mrs. R! After being displaced from her home for over a year & a half by Hurricane Harvey, Mrs. R was presented with the keys to her brand new manufactured home by United Way of Brazoria County / Brazoria County Long Term Recovery Committee & SBP - Brazoria County. Mrs. R had just purchased her home in Holiday Lakes 4 months prior to Hurricane Harvey making landfall. The torrential rainfall from Harvey sent waist-deep floodwaters into her newly procured home, completely destroying the dwelling. Mrs. R along with her husband, mother, and son were then forced to live together in a small travel trailer on the property. The family of 4 had to bare though a tough winter that only exacerbated when the heating went out. This was especially rough on Mrs. R's mom, who has been battling stage 4 breast cancer. Thank you to all that had a hand in making this possible. It certainly takes a collaborative effort in helping the residents of Brazoria County during the recovery process.
